Infected Blood Compensation Scheme to be revealed
May 21, 2024

The government has just published an Infected Blood Compensation Scheme Summary, which expands on some of the details previously provided.

The scheme will be available both to those infected and affected, and organised through the Infected Blood Compensation Authority (IBCA), which already has an interim chair.

The policy paper establishes eligibility criteria and sets out that people with several claims could be offered multiple injury awards.

The Scheme will recognise and provide financial compensation to victims of infected blood, both people who have been infected and affected.
